It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Felipe was a sweet-natured llama with a small head and long neck. Miguel was a hot-tempered llama with a big head and short neck. Both were friends.
One day Felipe wanted to walk up Mount Sanitas, but Miguel didn't want to join. "It is too windy today," complained Miguel. "Ok, I'll go on my own," Felipe said. He strode boldly up the mountain, as the strong wind ruffled his fur. When he got to the top, he took a moment to admire the lovely view. But then a sudden gust of wind caught Felipe off guard, and blew him off the rock he was perched on. He tumbled over some rocks, and grabbed on to one with his hooves just in the nick of time. He was hanging precariously above a steep section of the mountain. Jagged rocks lay far below.
Suddenly, he felt someone grab his hooves. It was Miguel. Miguel pulled him up, and said, "Don't ever do that again, Felipe!" Felipe was overjoyed. "Thank you, Miguel - you saved my life! I didn't even know you had come." Miguel shrugged. "Yes, I was getting bored at home by myself, and thought I'd join you. But next time let's go when it is less windy. Now let's go home, I'm cold!"
